Test Your Knowledge: Population of the Permanent Five

What are the populations (within 10%) of the 5 permanent members of the UN Security Council?

Really, it's two questions, but the first one should be trivial.

    China's easy with all the press: 1.3 big ones.

    US: We just passed the 300 million mark, so ~302 million?

    UK: around 80m with a flatlining birthrate... OK, looked it up... nope.

    France: 70m-ish on a big chunk of land -- by european standards.

    Russia: this is hard with all the old republics leaving and all.... um, ~130m? with vast majority is west of the ural of course


    Missed one by the gauge of +-10%... Which is better than I thought I'd do.
